Why Choose Aurifil Thread?
We love Aurifil cotton threads for the quality of the fibre, the versatility and strength. It won’t break, regardless of stitching speed! Aurifil is a brand known for leaving less dust in sewing machines, which increases the service life of machines and reduces maintenance frequency.
The big names of quilting, as well as the greatest haute couture, embroiderers and textile artists swear by Aurifil! Collections are frequently developed in collaboration with our favourite designers and brands, including Tula Pink, Alison Glass, Liberty of London, Anna Maria Horner, Vanessa Christenson, Art Gallery, and much more.
Furthermore, Shannon Fraser, a Montreal-based quilter whom we adore, is an Aurifil ambassador under the Aurifil Artisans program. Learn about her experience with these cotton threads in this video.
Aurifil, Contributing to Society and the Environment
For some years now, Aurifil has been supporting Plastic Bank, a Canadian company that aims at removing plastic from our oceans, and creating jobs for the poorest communities of the Philippines, Haiti, Brazil, and Indonesia. Additionally, Aurifil strongly encourages the recycling of its spools.
Oeko-Tex Certified Threads
Aurifil threads are Oeko-Tex certified, which means they are free of harmful chemicals and completely risk-free for human use. So, go ahead and wrap yourself with your quilts stitched with love!
