It’s now time to take out your pumpkins! You do not have a day to spend on craving your pumpkins into the scariest shapes? Here are my three suggestions on how to decorate your pumpkins with sewing accessories and fabrics! In less than 5 minutes, my beautiful pumpkin arrangement in my office was stolen by my colleagues! This season you can find them all over the Club Tissus office. They have everything to make your neighbours jealous, promised!
Level of difficulty : Easy.
Time required: About 20 minutes per pumpkin
Required material: (DSC_9800)
- Stretch Lace : 50 cm (19 ¾ po)
- Black satin ribbon : 1.5 m (59 po)
- Sequins ribbon : 2m (78 ¾ po)
- Plastic snaps in a variety of colours
- Hot glue gun
- Paint and brush of your choice
The lace pumpkin
STEP 1: Glue the lace on a side line of the pumpkin. Go around and glue the end of the lace to surround the pumpkin.
STEP 2: Glue the top of the lace near the stem of the pumpkin by creating folds. Perform the same step to stick the excess fabric under the pumpkin.
STEP 3: Go around the stem with a wide ribbon and make a bow.
The boo pumpkin
STEP 1: Paint your pumpkin in the colour of your choice. If you love its hue orange and would like to keep it, you can simply go to step 2 directly.
STEP 2: With a felt pen draw the outline of your « boo » or the word of your choice.
STEP 3: With hot glue fix the sequins ribbon by following your outline previously made in the step before.
The polka dot pumpkin
STEP 1: Paint your pumpkin in the colour of your choice. If you love its hue orange and would like to keep it, you can simply go to step 2 directly.
STEP 2: Install the capsules by inserting them into the pumpkin like a nail. If the pumpkin is very stiff, I suggest using a hammer to help you.
Here you go, now the only thing left to do is to put your pumpkins in sight or hidden if you do not want them getting stolen like me!
