Since i was a little girl, I’ve always loved Christmas for its magic, its frenzy and enchanting scenery. For me, it’s an opportunity to enjoy some family moments, to get carried away by the spirit of Christmas and sing Santa Claus is coming to town . Aside from all that, I won’t hide the fact that I am taking a guilty pleasure in waiting for this moment impatiently for something even better … the holiday season’s fashion! I can already imagine wearing this look while savoring hot chocolate (… extra marshmallow) during a brunch with the family. This outfit is ideal for those of you who prefer comfort and simplicity.
TOP : FAUX CASHMEER KNIT + MCCALL’S 7660
The sweater is made from a rayon, nylon and polyester blend fabric that mimics the luxurious look of cashmere. This knit is ideal for our Quebec winter. Cozy, light and comfortable; the team had a real crush over this one.
About the pattern, we chose model A from McCall’s 7660. Very fashionable this season, the puff sleeves bring a chic and original touch to a rather simple model.
SKIRT : JACQUARD STRASBOURG + MCCALL’S 7253
Great news! Several fashionistas (me!) were looking forward to it, jacquard is finally back! It was obvious that it had to be part of our holiday look series. Jacquard Strasbourg is the perfect blend of polyester and rayon. Neither too thick nor too thin, in addition to being comfortable to wear, this fabric has a perfect fall!
Timeless, the pleated skirt is a hit for the holidays! The McCall’s 7253 pattern offers different options and very interesting lengths. In our case, we chose the model D which holds a just above the knee length.
REVISIT THIS LOOK ALL YEAR LONG!
What I like about this set is that it is very versatile! For those of you who would seek inspiration to use these beautiful pieces to create everyday outfits; here are some suggestions!
To match the top:
- For an optimal comfortable outfit, perfect for snowy Sundays, Burda 6471 boss pants will allow you to create a chic and trendy look.
- If you like to overlay your clothes, you can also go for overalls (Burda 6599) or a nice sleeveless overall (Burda 6482).
- The Burda 6609 (model A) dress is ideal to wear over your knit sweater (Yes, yes, we’ve showed you that look in our fall-winter fashion catalog).
To match with the skirt :
- ALL models of McCall’s 7436 blouses are breathtaking! I have a small (… big) crush for collar loops; it’s chic, it’s retro, it’s just beautiful!
- The Burda 6765 pattern contains two very simple models of short and straight sweaters that are adaptable to the fabric of your choice. It’s a guaranteed match!
- To stay in the laid back inspiration, this skirt can also be paired with a round-neck sweatshirt. I love when two styles come together to create something new and original!
I hope you enjoyed it, we’ll see you soon! Until then, I want to wish all of you some Happy Holidays filled with magic and hot chocolate!
